The Government of the Cook Islands and its people will be the proud hosts of the 43rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' meeting to be held in Rarotonga and Aitutaki from 27th-31st August 2012. The meeting theme will be "Large Ocean Island States - the Pacific Challenge”.

Dates and venues of the 43rd Pacific Islands Forum are as follows:

• Monday 27th August (9am): Smaller Island States Leaders’ Meeting (closed), The Edgewater Resort, Rarotonga
• Tuesday 28th August (9am): Pacific ACP Leaders’ Meeting (closed), The Edgewater Resort, Rarotonga
• Tuesday 28th August (5pm): Official Opening - 43rd Pacific Islands Forum, National Auditorium, Rarotonga
• Wednesday 29th August (9am): 43rd Pacific Islands Forum Formal Session (closed), National Auditorium, Rarotonga
• Wednesday 29th August: Forum Leaders' Dinner (closed), Aitutaki
• Thursday 30th August: Forum Leaders' Retreat (closed), Aitutaki
• Friday 31st August (9am): 24th Post-Forum Dialogue Partners’ Meeting (closed), National Auditorium, Rarotonga
